Miguel Reveriego

Spanish Fashion Photographer Miguel Reveriego's learnt his craft from Mert & Marcus and currently lives and works in London. I fell in love with his work when I discovered this shoot with Jessica Stam. I am mad about black & white photography and this shoot oozes drama, mystery, sensuality and something that’s just pure femme fatale.

Anna "escume"

US digital artist Anna "Escume" really has an eye for beauty.  Her digital paintings are soft, feminine and exquisite!  Her style has a touch of art nouveau and the way she plays with light, creating a delicate illumination evokes a feeling of the sublime, elevating her subjects from ordinary to majesty.

Lillian Bassman

The amazingly talented Fashion Photographer Lillian Bassman sadly passed away at the age of 94 earlier this year. She leaves an incredible timeless legacy that captures the spirit of femininity since the 1940's. Her work is more than fashion photography, more visual poetry. Sumptuous, glamorous, elegant, intimate, sensual, romantic they reveal an emotional heart touched by beauty.

“She makes visible that heartbreaking invisible place between the appearance and the disappearance of things.” – Richard Avedon on Lillian Bassman.

Erik Jones

Another long time favourite, US traditional artist Erik Jones is a man of many talents. His recent work incorporates colourful geometric shapes and lines with bold colours superimposed over his subjects creating a sense of mystery and freedom through imprecise impressions on the page. "This new "thing" that I'm doing is really just about experimenting. Though the figures tend to be "attractive", the new direction places less emphasis on sexuality. I simply start out with a loose line drawing of a figure and experiment with building up and breaking down colour and shapes in and around said figure. It is not only a salubrious experimentation with the figure but also an exploration of mediums. This process is more sporadic and embraces imperfection, rather then focusing mainly on rendering "perfect" realistic skin....It's also a lot of fun." Erik Jones.

Rogelio Manzo

Mexican traditional artist Rogelio Manzo's work is disturbing and extremely moving, it touches and twists the darkness inside me.

I think his personal statement speaks for itself ~ I'm interested in chaos and accident and the harmony and beauty found within. In my work I provoke the accident to later, during the creative process, embrace it looking for reconciliation and homeostasis. My approach as when creating is a construct-demolish-repair process; during this struggle I find a brute yet honest identity of my subjects... our perception of the world and ourselves is grounded on explicit or implicit agreements in society. I'm instigating this conventionalism and exposing the viewer to a visceral discourse concerned with our own bodily integrity and mortality. ' Rogelio Manzo
