Candian traditional artist Sarah Joncas has a distinctive style, either light and whimsical or dark and broody. She uses symbolical imagery as subtle subtext to convey concepts around spiritual connection and the connection between the individual and the man made environment particularly technology. I adore her use of colour and the current/relevant feel to her work.
